Risk Assessment for Environmental Health Professionals

American University of Armenia School of Public Health: Yerevan, Armenia

Since 2012, TIFO has taught a yearly 3-credit course for American University of Armenia’s Master of Public Health (MPH) students. The course covers the concepts and principles of risk assessment and environmental health by reviewing environmental problems in low, middle and high-income countries. The syllabus includes approaches to characterizing and managing pathways between environmental contaminants and human receptors, relying on  concepts from toxicology, exposure assessment, and risk characterization.

The course is taught by different groups of TIFO experts each year, drawing on their own extensive experiences in occupational health, environmental science, public health, and risk assessment.
